UPDATE!

Meet Skip. He is nice enough to share his story in the hope that others will avoid making the same mistakes he made. Skip will allow us to document his story and share his progress.
This is the result from Skip's first procedure with another doctor who offered to do 4000 grafts for $6,000 dollars. The doctor is a graduate of Yale University and board certified in Plastic Surgery. On paper it looked like a no brainer. Unfortunately, the results were poor with little or no impact in achieving a hair line. Skip has good coverage (no hair loss) in the crown(back) area but was sparse in the frontal area of the scalp. Even after the first procedure there was no noticeable improvement to the hair line. The first doctor tried to impact the frontal area and create a hair line and was not able to do that. The procedure was a failure.

UNFORTUANTELY, MANY OF OUR PATIENTS CAME FROM OTHER DOCTORS IN A REPAIR MODE http://www.greathairtransplants.com/before_after_corrections.html  Click here to see how Dr. Bolton fixed many of our patients by doing more in one procedure then all their combined prior procedures.
Skip has now decided to have a procedure with Dr. Bolton. Dr. Bolton did his "Maxharvest" procedure which is unique in that the maximum amount of donor hair is used for the procedure. This is how Skip looked during the procedure after Dr. Bolton made his recipient sites.
This is Skip immediately after Dr. Bolton finished the procedure and all the grafts are placed into the recipient sites. You will get to watch as Skip will finally get a substantial result like our other patients who went to other doctors and got minimal results. We look forward to watching Skip's progress.

This will be a great outcome the hair is literally on the head where you can see a substantial impact.

7 solid months of improvement to come.  I am very happy for Skip as he was so discouraged from his prior procedure in Beverly Hills.  Way to hang in there Skip.  It is paying off!

Skip already has more hair at 4 months then he did from his last procedure in Beverly Hills.  There is no question in my mind that Skip will finally get a nice result this time.  His trip into our office has definitely paid off and now he has 8 solid months of growth to come.  We are very happy for you Skip.

Here is Skip's story in his own words: Hi Josh, Per our conversation, here is my hair transplant story: Skip, Chicago, IL Age 45 I began to notice my hair receding in my mid 20s. The recession continued through my 30s and I started to wear my hair combed forward in a "ceasar" style to try to hide the recession. I realized at about 38 that the best thing to do was to cut all my hair very short. I decided at age 44 to explore hair transplant surgery. I shopped around online and found a doctor in Beverly Hills that had offered three things that I THOUGHT were important: 1. Best price for highest number of grafts=Cost effective 2. Yale trained surgeon=Qualified 3. Beverly Hills location=Must have a lot of experience, because based in LA. A year later I had a sparse result and a scar line that could be seen on the back of my head. The experience itself and the care that I received were fine. I paid $6000 and got more hair than I had at the start, but I did not look much different and I did not achieve a frontal hairline. I learned several things: 1. I never saw photos of the doctor's previous work=Big Mistake! 2. A Yale education, doesn't equal a lot of hair or an undetectable scar. 3. Best price doesn't always yield best results. I researched Dr Bolton for about 6 months, as I knew at that point that my first precedure was not going to yield the results that I wanted. I spoke to Josh and saw all of the pics on Dr Bolton's website, and I scheduled my procedure for Feb 10, 2012. Attached are 3 pics(jpg 15,16,17) from the day of the surgery and 3 pics from third day (jpg 18,19,20) , Feb 13, 2012. Please note, that I had Dr Bolton shave the area, because he said it would be easier to work on the area. Also, please note that I do have some swelling in my face and under my eyes in the day 3 pic, which is normal. Lastly, please note the pic of the back of my head, as there is NO VISIBLE incision line and I actually have a 9" sucture hidden under my hair. I will be adding pics as I heal.
