Summer time is the right time

The Summer time is a great time to have a procedure. Most people can take a few days off for the procedure so that they don't miss too much work. The weather is more agreeable and people can swim in the ocean which is great for healing. The hair, nails, and skin grow faster in the summer and can help get you off to a fast start. Also, you can look forward to having your results in time for the New Year.

Update on my procedure with Dr. Bolton

Ok its been 41 days post op. I still have existing transplanted hairs growing and I am excited about the coming results. I'm back to full bore working out in the gym with no restrictions. I do feel slight reminders that I had the procedure such as slight numbness to the area that was transplanted and sporadic itchiness to the donor area. Very minor and not an issue. This will continue to lessen and some patients don't have it at all.
I found the process relatively easy and glad to be back to my normal routine and just waiting for the results.

From the beginning of my loss in 1997 through 2011

How has your hair changed in the last 14 years?

Our Patient writes about his experience in our office

Hello Everyone,

This was the best hair procedure I've ever expirenced. I had 2 other procedures elsewhere and this one has been the far best. There were 4 other patients that came to visit in the office today. They all had different stages of recovery. One person was 3 weeks, another 4 months, and the others 6-12 months. Truly amazing! Everyone was 110 percent satisfied. I could not believe the 6-12 months results these patients had. It seems they have had a full head of hair for life. Dr. Bolton is the only doctor I know that can provide as much density in 1 procedure versus 3-4 attempts most doctors take to try and get a patient decent results.

Everyone in the doctor's office was very accomdating and helpful. It's a very happy warm postive expirence. I enjoyed every minute. I traveled from New Jersey to Florida to have my procedure done. All of the nurses and office personnel were extremely knowlegable. Dr. Bolton only focuses on you. You are the only patient on that day. They feed me and take very good care of me. Everyone is smiling and good hearted. I feel very welcomed here.

I recommend anyone to have Dr. Bolton perform their procedure. You will never worry about hair loss again ever in your life! The best results are by Dr Bolton!

Patient comes in for 4 month follow up

Patient is a firefighter coming in for his first followup at four months. He already has significant results. The patient was referred in by another firefighter who was referred in by his friend the firefighter. What a great compliment to have a patient think so highly of us to send us his friends.

His friend is 6 months post op and he has so much hair people think he must be wearing a wig!

Thank you for your gifts

Our patient came in today for his procedure bearing gifts. He is in the sunglass business and brought everyone in the office a pair of sunglasses.

Needless to say everyone was excited and appreciative of his kind gesture.

Thank you again Armando for making everyone's day.

Today' Patient Case History

Today's patient has had two prior procedures with nice results. Today the patient brought in a detailed photographic plan for improving his hair.
The plan he outlined was to hit the crown where his coverage was weakest. Whatever hair follicles that are left over will be placed to shape the hair line a bit lower and add some density to the frontal zone.
Because Dr. Bolton takes so much hair in one session this will be achievable for our patient.

My donor strip harvested zero transection

Dr. Bolton removes my scars and gets me 3,000 plus hairs

Notice the length of donor strip sutures

Dr. Bolton's length of his donor strip is usually 30-50% longer then other doctors who do 3,000 plus graft cases.
Notice how the donor strip goes significantly past the ear. It then continues all the way past the ear on the other side. Plain and simple, more hair better results.

My previous scar

This is what my donor area looked like after four previous surgeries and before Dr. Bolton did a scar revision.

Dr. Bolton does a scar revision from my previous four surgeries

Since I had four previous surgeries I did have some significant scarring in my donor area. It didn't inconvenience me because I never wear my hair short but Dr. Bolton is a perfectionist who leaves the smallest donor scar of any doctor I've ever seen.

Here are my scars exposed prior to surgery. Dr. Bolton will remove them, harvest the remaining hair and leave one fine scar. Here are the pictures.

My Surgery with Dr. Bolton

I am very excited to share with you my experience with Dr. Bolton.

I've had four prior procedures and I am very happy with the results. After working with Dr. Bolton for the last two years and seeing what he was able to do for his patients I decided to take my results to a higher level. I wanted more density, a lower hair line and build out my temporal peaks.

Here is a picture of me right after my procedure. I will update you over the next year

as I get my results.

Exciting new information to come on our website

Our website is constantly evolving. We are in the process of taking the most common questions prospective patients ask and document the question and answer along with a photo or videotape. For example, patients want to know how does the procedure work. We will have a photo or video of the donor site being prepared, shaved and removed and sutured. We also will have pictures of what it looks like after surgery, a day later, ten days later, one month, etc.
We are always striving to make the decision making process easy and with the most information possible. This should be up in the next few weeks.
In the meanwhile, you can go to www.greathairtransplants.com and you will see a lot of great examples of Dr. Bolton's work and viedeos of actual procedures.

Dave from New Jersey flies in from Dr. Bolton

Our patient Dave made it in for his procedure after a rough start. He missed his flight after a missed connection on the train he was taking in to the airport. He hopped another flight and he was able to make it in just one hour late for his scheduled time. Because we only do one case per day it wasn't a big deal that he was late.
Dave had two prior procedures. One with Dr. Ziering and the other with Dr. Gaviria. He has nice results but he was looking to achieve more density. Dave is a class 6 and it is a challenge to get him density and coverage throughout. Today we will use a different method then he had previously with the specific intention of getting density for Dave. We will use micro grafts for the frontal hair line but in the area in the middle of the scalp we will use multi- follicular units to achieve mazimum density. We will look forward to sharing Dave's results.

Patient from Naples, Florida checks in for one year follow-up

Just got off the phone with patient from Naples, Fl. When he came in for his first procedure he almost left before he had his procedure. I watched him pull in the lot and he just sat in his car for 15 minutes until I went out and asked him if he wanted to come in and start his procedure. He was as white as a ghost and sweating profusely and said he was having second thoughts. He did have the procedure and everything went well. He told me he was close to leaving as he was uncomfortable with medical procedures.
He said he was ecstatic with his results, he gets compliments all the time and his new girlfriend commented how lucky he had a full head of hair when his brother was bald.

Today's Procedure with Dr. Bolton

Case study:

Patient today had previous procedure with a big corporation. He is 24 years old and his results according to him were ok but he wanted more density or more of a substantial result. I agree with him that his procedure was a quality result. Meaning he wasn't harmed in anyway but due to the nature of the procedure (follicular unit transplant) he lacked density.

Today Dr. Bolton will move twice the hair and utizlize his method of combining follicular units in the vertex (top area) to achieve density.
The patient has promised he will update his results with photos.

Rolando is ready for Hollywood

We have a patient who would make the biggest stars in Hollywood jealous of his results and scratching their heads wondering how he got such great results. Now you don't have to live in Hollywood or spend big bucks to look like a star. Introducing Dr. Bolton's patient, Rolando.

Rich comes in for his 4 month follow up

Another typical day at Dr. Bolton's office. Patient comes in for his four month follow up. He had a procedure elsewhere before and had poor results and a big scar. Dr. Bolton got him a substantial result in only four months and a scar that is absolutely undetectable even though his hair is at a quarter inch or one blade. We will post his results to our website.
Needless to say, the patient was exuberant and said his brother will be coming in shortly for a procedure, too.

Steve "No More Baldspot" Cook, Joins our Practice

Steve Cook and I go back twelve years together in this field. "Cook" as he is known came in for a procedure years ago and we helped him achieve the look he has today. Cook, is literally a history book of hair restoration. He started out getting transplants back in 1983 when they were doing plugs. He then tried a hair system (wig) and then back to hair restoration as the methods improved. We then worked together for the same practice and both enjoyed helping others achieve their results. Steve Cook has a compassion that is born from having gone through the challenges and difficulties of being so young and having been at the mercy of a procedure that was still in its infancy.
You couldn't ask for a better person helping you in this process that means so much.

Hair Show Miami

Went to the Hair show at the Miami Beach Convention Center this past weekend and saw a lot of hair salon owners and workers with bad hair transplants. It always strikes me when people in the business of hair don't know how to separate the quality doctors from each other. I don't know what goes into their decison process. I really feel what Dr. Bolton does for his patients are unique. Consistent, substantial results everytime.

Dr. Brett Bolton

Case Study: Patient had previous surgery with another doctor and had very limtited results(poor growth) at 17 years of age. Patient has procedure with Dr. Bolton and he comes in for his first follow up five months after surgery. It was a thrill to see the change not only was he given a new hair line but it totally changed the young patients demeanor. Dr. Bolton got goose bumps and said this is what his job is all about.
Congratulations to our young patient and Dr. Bolton for his special abilities, talents, and compassion.
Please keep in mind the results you see are seven months away from a final result. The patient will continue to fill in over the next 7 months.

Dr. Bolton restores youthful appearance to 19 year old patient

Case Study:

Patient had previous surgery with a large corporate chain and got minimal results. Patient was discouraged and sad. Dr. Bolton was in 5 months able to get a significant result that totally changed the patient's demeanor and appearance in a significant way even though the procedure'r final result is still 7 months away. Please realize at five months the results are far from final and the patient will continue to improve for the next 7 months. Congratulations to Dr. Bolton and the patient for a remarkable result that makes us all glad to be part of Dr. Bolton's practice.
