Please notice the detail and consistency of these pics on our site. Most sites will not give you complete consistent pics. They cherry pic them to present their work in the best light. Many times showing a before pic with hair wet or after the procedure to make the loss seem greater. Then show the after with dark light and dry hair. The angles may not match and very rarely will they ever show the top down shot and back shot. Most websites don't give you all the information you should require. What doctor did the the patient you are looking at? Is it one procedure or multiple procedures? How many hairs did the patient get? Graft counts are vague or imprecise and subject to manipulation. You should ask for many pics that are consistent in how they are taken and in regards to angles and lighting and you should see every position. Front, top, back and sides.

I still remember and extensive conversation that I had with the patient where he questioned how if he got 6,000 hairs from his previous surgery which consisted of 3,000 grafts with an average of 2 hairs per graft we could make a difference with the same 6,000 hairs but with only 1,000 grafts.

The patient said it is 6,000 hairs either way how can you do better with the same amount of hair?

Because we do not continue to cut grafts smaller and smaller and smaller into primarily one and two hair grafts. The more you cut, the more damage, less survival and less inherent density as the hairs
that used to be close together are now separated. We use micro grafts only in the front hair line, which total approximately 170 grafts. The rest will behind the hair line and they will average
6-8 hairs per graft which is how we can usually at least double up most patients previous work elsewhere.
